Bold Creative Ideas
It all starts with an idea. As Producers of original theatre, we believe in generating portfolios of unique ideas for theatrical experiences, spanning Musical Theatre, Immersive Theatre, Dance, Drama and Entertainment. Some of our concepts are focused on the West End and Broadway, some are perfectly suited to cruise lines and the leisure industry, some aim to push technical boundaries, and others are just plain off-the-wall, bonkers! Not all of these ideas will progress to development, but simply writing them down is the place to start. It pays to be big and brave.
Licensing
Some ideas are 100% original. Others are based on underlying rights, such as a novel, film, or life story. Before beginning development of a new theatre production we make sure to secure the underlying rights, giving us exclusivity over bringing the story to the stage. We currently have a major new Musical in development based on an incredible true story.
Writing
With an idea and rights in place, the writing process is where everything kicks off. We work closely with writers to support and guide creation of the work, pairing them with co-writers, dramaturgs, composers, directors, and preparing the work for much anticipated read-throughs and workshops. As creatives ourselves, we know writing is hard, and it can be tricky to see the wood for the trees. But the process can be so rewarding, when magic happens.
Workshops
Once a script is at a solid and exciting stage, it's time to put it in the hands of talented actors and a director to bring it to life. Whether a simple table-read or a large-scale workshop, these vital parts of the process highlight the best and worst bits of the writing, and give the creatives an valuable opportunity to test material, re-write, and play around with the characters they've created. The insights of experienced actors, producers and directors bring another huge level of value to the work, and it's at this stage that we begin to see the potential for the piece.
Performance
Whether a ``workshop presentation`` or an actual initial run of performances, the final step is putting the piece in front of an audience. Theatre is a live art form, which means the work only truly lives and breathes when in front of an audience. Whether created for a large ticket-buying audience or for licensing into a resort or cruise venue, the end-goal for all of our development processes is to take them to stages where they will energise, entertain and inspire new theatre audiences.
